If this was a “commercial” grade table top then it should have been made from tempered glass. What that means is that when it shatters (which is not out of the realm of possibility for this product) then it shatters into relatively “safe” pieces. That is, the pieces should be more or less indistinguishable from pea gravel. Pick up a few pieces and you should see that for yourself. If it was a homemade job and the maker used standard window glass or equivalent, then all bets are off, of course. Best thing to do in that case would be to have a contractor dig up the pea gravel and glass together and dispose of it all. *That* glass could be lethal.
