How can i clean painted walls with non expensive cleaner or supplies from home?
I have used Mr.Clean Magin Erasers very sucessfully on dirty walls. It takes off all sorts of grime, crayon, scuff marks, etc. They are fabulous and cost about $3-$4 for a box of 4 depending where you buy them. When we sold our condo we thought we would have to repaint all the doors and trim because they were so dirty and wouldn’t come clean no matter what we used. There were also scuff marks on the walls. The Magic Eraser made the doors and trim look freshly painted and took off the scuff marks on the walls. On the matt coloured areas it left a bit of white residue but we just wiped down with water after. They also work on pretty much any other dirty spots you can think of. For instance the baked on grease on the vent cover came out brand new.
It will depend on what you are trying to clean off the walls. If it’s just handprints, food splatter or crayon an all-purpose cleaner/ degreaser will work well or you can use a bucket of hot water add a few drops of dish soap and a capful of bleach. Then scrub with a clean non-abrasive sponge or cloth.
