Mold and mildew wipe off leather shoes pretty well with a damp rag. Wipe, allow to air-dry thoroughly, then polish with a good creme or paste. If it’s on cloth shoes like sneakers, the mold has very probably stained the fibers and while you can kill the spores, the discoloration is permanent.
