R / The heliconias can be classified in two categories: Pendent and Erect. These, in turn, are divided in those that are distichous and those that are spiral. For example, a Rostrata is pendent and distichous and a Griggsiana is pendent ands spiral. On the other hand, a Wagneriana is erect and distichous and a Lathispatha it is erect and spiral.
