How Can I Check What Internet Pages Have Been Visited If The Internet Explorer History Has Been Deleted?

I suspect my eldest son is visiting inappropriate internet pages and deleting the internet explorer history to cover his tracks. Our operating system is Windows XP. Is there anyway I can view or recover the deleted folder to find out what he is viewing. My wife and I feel that if we know what he is trying to hide (gambling, drugs, etc) we will be in a better place to discuss it with him.
