Create a PNG graphic and save it as a file named ‘MouseIndicatorButton.png’. Place this file at the top level of your Pictures folder. Open System Preferences, select the Mouse Locator preferences pane and turn the ‘Activate Mouse Locator’ checkbox off and then on again.
