How can I change the width/height of the folder selection combo box on the address bar?
A. The width of the said combo box is usually automatically set by 2xExplorer, forcing it to take advantage of all the available horizontal space. Still you can control it’s width for cases when the address bar is either floating or docked vertically (left or right edges). Although the size of the box cannot be altered from within 2xExplorer, there is a variable called nFolderComboWidth in the registry, where the program’s persistent properties are kept. The easiest way to change it is to run “regEdit” using the Run command from the desktop’s Start button, search for “2xExplorer” and click on the “Mainframe Settings” item where the said width controlling variable is contained (the full key name is “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\2xExplorer\MainFrame Settings”). Similarly you can control the vertical drop extent by fiddling with a variable called “nFolderComboHeight”. NOTE: you can only change these values after quitting 2xExplorer.
