*** DISASSEMBLING M.15V CONTROL PACK 2 *** To open the NiCad pack, you must remove the thin metal plate that says single-off-sequence and the flat screw that holds a tensioning spring. To remove it apply a solvent like chloroform with a cotton tipped applicator (Q-tip) then use a piece of sticky tape (like duct tape) to pull the plate off without damaging it. It can be reattached using rubber cement. First, take out the big screw you see there (unscrew ccw). Next, holding the entire knob with a large pair of channellock pliers, unscrew the entire selector knob. The bottom case should pull open. The only other screw that has to come out is on the bottom next to the tripod socket. Now put a piece of tape on the lock slider for the fire button, to keep it from falling out as you try and re-assemble the unit.
