How Can I Calculate Physical Parameters (color, Odor, Taste) For Water?
• Site selection: The sites for sampling are to be selected. We select some samples from the storage tanks and tube wells while others from the tap water. • Frequency of samples: The sampling is done two times. There is one month gap between these two samplings. Physical parameters: Color: We analyze the color of the entire water sample with the help of naked eye. We note the color of water with us. It is to be done during the sampling of water on the spot. We analyze this parameter both for drinking water and sewage. Taste: We analyze the taste of water by taking some sips of water. We suck the water to know about its taste. We analyze taste parameter on the spot, during water sampling. We analyze this parameter only for drinking water. Odor: We smell the water to know about the odor of water samples. It was done on the spot, during water sampling. We analyze this parameter both for drinking water and sewage.
