How can i buy my old high school yearbook?
I’m a yearbook adviser, and I have to say we rarely have books that old. We print very limited runs, and the publishers destroy the plates after a few years. You really should contact the school, because they might have a case in a closet somewhere, if they’re not good at cleaning. Archivists and librarians would want to keep the copy they have, but would allow you to photocopy/scan the pages, from which you could print a book pretty cheaply. Chances are there are no electronic copies of the books, although some schools did use PageMaker back then, and may still have the floppies or HD with the book in digital format; opening the old files may require an old version of the software, which will probably require an old version of the computer/OS, together with the fonts. In the early 90s, many yearbooks were laid out with the text and placement of photos on a computer, but the photos themselves were added by hand at the publishing plant, since disks couldn’t handle the space required by
