The file format of those .cam files are a direct dump of the data received on the socket, which means it’s in the MS proprietary format. For this reason, no player can play those files, only amsn. We have plans for a future version to include more advanced viewing capabilities to the webcam logs viewer (fast forward, seeking, choose specific session, etc..) and we also have plans in creating a converter that will convert these logs into a known format like .avi or .mpeg. These features are not yet implemented but will probably be integrated in aMSN in the future, but please be patient until that time comes.
