Research it first. It is a movement, not a religion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rastafarian Rastafari’s are not big fans of Western Society (Babylon – literally translated to mean “Confusion”) – and it is a central theme to reject it (they even say that Western Society corrupted the teachings of Jesus – have to say I agree on that one). To specifically answer your question: “Rastafari holds that evil society, or “Babylon” has always been white-dominated, and has committed such acts of aggression against the African people as the Atlantic slave trade. Despite this Afrocentrism and focus on people of the black race, members of other races, including whites, are found and accepted by Blacks among the movement, for most believe Rasta is for all people.” My intuition is that if you are not of African American descent, it would probably be a bit difficult to get anyone to believe you are actually interested in their movement, and not just their cannabis.
