How can I beam an advertising logo up into the sky with a laser?
Hi Mark, to beam an advertising logo into the sky you need a very high power laser projector and controller. The projector would need to be at least 5 to 10 watts with much higher powers being ideal. The more power the laser has, the longer range people will be able to see the logo from. Green is the most visible a color and one of the cheapest so you’d use a green 532nm projector. The projector would also need a controller (normally a PC) and dedicated software. The controller would control the movement of the laser beam in the sky to create the logo. The effectiveness/visibility of the logo would depend on conditions such as light levels, weather, cloud cover, temperature and humidity. NOTE: Doing this with out permits and approval would be violating a number of local and federal laws.
