There is a European Normative, the EN13432, which establish the characteristics of a product which can be treated in composting system. Therefore there are indipendent verifying companies which certify that different products comply with such normative. The most important are AIB-Vincotte (logo OK-Compost) and DIN-Certco. Certification will be valid even if issued by other verifying companies but only if according to EN13432.
