Each Federal agency is required to have a Green Procurement program consisting of the following: preference program; promotion program; procedures for estimation, verification, and certification; and, procedures for annual review and monitoring. The first step you should take is to familiarize yourself with your agencys green or affirmative procurement program requirements. Second, you should incorporate any requirements into the planning stage of the contracting process.
