How can I avoid looking like a tourist while visiting South Florida?
I strongly agree with the person who said avoid wearing anything that has “Florida” on it, unless it’s a college t-shirt or something. Usually the biggest giveaway. Floridians are in general very casual. Most of us live in shorts and have more flip flops than sneakers. Very similar to what people in other warm weather states (California particularly) wear. There is no one Florida “look.” Unless you’re purposefully trying to be a tacky tourist, you’ll fit in just fine.
