How can I arrange for financial support for an interdepartmental initiative?
Interdepartmental financial support is often vital to the success of a collaborative initiative and needs to be considered at the very start of the arrangement. Departments can contribute in kind (e.g., staff, equipment, facilities, services, expertise) and/or financially. Financial contributions can be made through interdepartmental settlements on an as needed basis, transfers in advance to a lead department that would establish an Other Government Department (OGD) suspense account to administer the funds, or transfer through the Estimates for more long-term requirements.
