How can i answer this question on my job application form?
Usually, the best way to give an example of your work is to refer to a problem that you have encountered in a job, and explain how you resolved it; ie – there was a problem with the alarm when it came to locking up the bar at the end of the night, so I stayed behind, called the repair company, informed the police that the bar was in a vulnerable situation, oversaw the repairs, double checked the security of the bar before going home. Obviously use an example that actually happened to you, but all this is saying is that you waited while the alarm was fixed – breaking it down with demonstrate how you are able to think on your feet, solve problems and that you are responsible and conscientious.
Well, in your previous job you may have encountered rude or troublesome customers and it was best at the time to use your discretion and handle the situation with common sense rather than letting things get out of hand or disrupt other customers. You could mention staying calm under pressure and give a few examples. perhaps you had some rowdy people in and asked them to respect other peoples need for enjoyment, rather than calling the police or throwing them out, thus diffusing a situation with humour or tact. Good luck!
