How Can I Adjust a Fax Server s Incoming Baud Rate?
The factory default for a Castelle fax server is that the maximum incoming baud rate that the unit will attempt to use is the maximum that its hardware will support. If you have noisy phone lines, or other conditions that contribute to incoming fax failures, the phone lines should be checked to see what improvements can be made. However, it may not be possible or practical to completely eliminate noisy lines. A workaround is to lower the incoming baud rate so the FaxPress has a better chance to read the signal.
