How can I add a new outgoing (SMTP) mail server and tell Mozilla to use it for a new mail account?

The first step is adding the new outgoing server: – In Mozilla Mail, select Edit -> Mail and Newsgroup Account settings -> Outgoing Server. Click on the Advanced Button and in the window that opens on Add. Then, enter your outgoing (SMTP) server settings. – Once this is done, go to your Email account settings (still in Mail and Newsgroup Account settings). Click on the name of your account (Mozilla 1.6 and up: Click on “Server Settings” below the name of your account) and then on the Advanced button. Select your new outgoing server from the dropdown list. You should be all set. If you are using Thunderbird, please see the Thunderbird Mail Acount Setup section of the Managing Mail Accounts tutorial for detailed instructions.
