How can I access the library licensed databases from off-campus?
The CVTC library subscribes to online databases that, by contract, are restricted to use by current students, faculty and staff at CVTC. Users at any CVTC campus location have direct access to these resources via the library’s web page. Access to the library’s online databases while at home or from other off campus locations is now available via the CVTC proxy server. A proxy server is a special type of server that allows off campus access to subscription library databases. Two primary functions are performed. 1. Login to VISTA (http://vista.cvtc.edu) to verify that you are a current student or CVTC employee. This ensures compliance with vendor licensing restrictions. 2. Login to the proxy server to connect to the library databases. Click on the links below to access the library databases off campus.
