How can I access an America Online (AOL) account from the residence halls?
If you have an existing AOL account, you do not need to change your pricing plan to access AOL from the residence halls. If you do not have an existing AOL account and you do not intend to access AOL from an AOL dial-up (modem) service number, you can connect to AOL from the high-speed connection in your residence hall room by using America Online’s “Bring Your Own Access” plan. At $9.95 a month, it is less expensive than the regular monthly dial-up service (currently $23.90 per month for new members). To set up your system to access AOL from the residence halls with either pricing plan, first, you will need to start the AOL software.
