How can highly territorial Scrabs now run around in a herd?
Oddworld Inhabitants have produced no less than four separate explanations for this apparent discontinuity because of people asking it so often. Firstly, Scrabs are not so territorial over sharing land so long as it’s a group ownership. Like chickens, Scrabs aren’t able to differentiate between each other when surrounded by many of their own kind, so they all live in harmony. In smaller collectives, a distinct pecking order will be formed with much fighting and bullying. When it’s one-on-one, a fight will continue until one of the two is subdued, and in the case of Scrabs, this means death. Additionally, Scrabs found in herds will be led by an Alpha male, like the dominant male lion or the head silverback.
