How Can Fish Oil Increase HDL Cholesterol?
Two omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil are effective to lower blood pressure and is said to decrease triglyceride levels. However, using fish oil to increase HDL levels has not been proven yet to be effective. Sources of fish oil are from the tissues of fatty fish such as tuna, herring, sardines, salmon, lake trout and mackerel.
