How can files from VideoReDo be played on a DVD Player?

0

Background: Video files saved by VideoReDo can be saved in either program stream or elementary stream formats. A program stream is a single file that contains both the audio and video multiplexed together. The advantage of program streams is that they can be re-edited easily by VideoReDo and you only need to deal with a single file. In an elementary stream format, the audio and video are each written to a separate file, usually an MPV file for video material and either mpa or ac3 for audio depending upon the audio codec. In general, neither of these output files can be burned to a DVD disc and watched on a standalone player. Some standalone players WILL accept program stream files, but they are not common. DVD Players expect the video files to be in special format called VOBs. Each VOB can be no more than 1GB in length. If your video is longer than 1GB then multiple VOB files are created. The format of a VOB file is very similar to a program stream which is why VideoReDo can accept VOB
