How can FACES technology help in coordinated law enforcement efforts?

0

FACES has two features to share information across police jurisdictions and help track and apprehend suspects. First, FACES is the only technology to generate a unique Biometric Alphanumeric Code (BAC) for every composite image. BAC codes can be sent by phone, fax or email to recreate the composite in exact detail. The small size of the BAC code – less than 1KB – makes it ideal for wireless transmission between station and patrol cars, or between agencies. Second, FACES software has the ability to export composite images as JPEG files to include in police bulletins and websites. And its the only composite technology that has full integration capability with TRAK, the emergency alert solution used by more than 1400 police agencies to issue child alert bulletins and other crime information.
