How can discount agencies offer low fees?
Every agency must earn fees to stay in business. Some do not mention “special” processing or and extra fees that only come up later. Others charge recruitment fees to the nanny or caregiver themselves. There are two problems with this: 1) It is illegal, and may result in problems for both the agency and employer if found out, and 2) the agency is working for the benefit of one who pays them and if the employee is paying all or most of the fee, the agency will try to place them with employers whether they are good or not. We disclose all of our fees up front, and we never collect a fee from the nanny or caregiver.
