How can custom intervals be set when converting a Grid image to a contour map?

Question: A grid image has 10 color intervals. How can a contour map be created with only 4 color intervals/range values? Answer: Once the grid is opened in MapInfo, open the Grid Manager Tool. Select the Contour Button. The Contour grid dialog will display. Choose Polylines or Regions: Click on the Intervals Button, select the Number radio button in the Method portion of the dialog (this represents the number of ranges in the contour). The elevation values can be altered by changing the Min and Max number in the dialog. Once changes are made click O.K. The new ranges will now be displayed in the contour dialog. Clicking OK again generates the new contour map.
