How can Coal and Nuclear form part of a Green Energy Supply?

Top All certified Green Electricity Supply Tariffs must prove that they have at least as much Renewable Energy bought or generated by the Supplier as is required to match supplies to all customers. However, as most Tariffs come from Energy Suppliers who get their electricity from a mix of power stations, the Scheme also requires full disclosure of the annual fuel mix for all Tariffs from the supplier (not just the green ones). This will usually include some power purchased from coal or nuclear power stations, in line with the UK total fuel mix.
