Preliminary Privacy Impact Assessments (PPIA), a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and a Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) have been conducted and appropriate actions have been taken to mitigate any privacy risks identified. CIC is committed to protecting the personal information of applicants. As such, appropriate safeguards have been put in place using the Government of Canada secure channel.
