How Can Chicken Pox Be Cured?
First you should see a doctor to make sure it is chicken pox. If it is, there some anti-virals (chicken pox is caused by a virus) available by prescription (Famvir and Zovirax) that lessen the severity and duration a little. They are expensive, have to be started within the first couple of days, are not a “cure”, and only lessen the symptoms. Unfortunately, like the common cold, it’s a virus and we haven’t figured cures for them yet. Also, once you get it it stays in you body for life and can re-emerge as the “shingles”-more good news. Get the vaccine and avoid “chicken pox parties”. Good luck.
