You cannot “build muscle with great ease.”  The body responds only to demands palced on it.  It isn’t enough to think about it; strapping on a magic muscle building belt won’t do it.  Muscle will increase in mass and strength only in response to micro-tears in the muscle created by overload stress due to lots of hard work.  There are no shortcut exercises…no shortcut drugs.  Exercise of a sufficient level tears down tissue; rest and proper nutrition rebuilds the tissue just a wee bit stronger/larger than it was before the exercise.

An experienced bodybuilder considers himself fortunate to gain 6 pounds of new muscle in a year.  A beginner can expect rapid gains during the first few months while the adaptation process continues.  It is not unusual for a 100-pounder to gain 20 pounds or more of muscle during the first six weeks.  As mentioned, this rate of gain will slow a few months in.  But without investing very hard work in your exercise program, you will not gain an ounce.
