ASHA member involvement is critical. ASHA is actively lobbying at the federal level and assisting state associations, legislators, and executive agencies to enact legislation or other sustained programs that will provide coverage for hearing screening for newborns and infants. But as with all advocacy efforts, individual members’ advocacy is critical. ASHA has developed resources to assist you in being an advocate for newborn and infant hearing screening.
