How can an employee check if they have been paid for the hours recorded in their Time and Wages Report?
All hours recorded in an employee’s Time and Wages Report will have been paid to them. This is because their Time and Wages Report only includes entries from the earnings table or retrospective payments box on their payslips and these will all have already been paid. However, the Time and Wages Report will not show when they were actually paid their wages, allowances, penalties and deductions. Employees can check their payslips to confirm when they received payment, remembering that they may not have received payment in the same fortnightly pay period in which the hours were worked. Also, some of the payments on their payslip (in the retrospective payments box) may not be dated and will be difficult to cross-check with their Time and Wages Report.
