• To begin with, the purchase order database must be created for a client. This is done by starting the catalogue and creating a purchase order. The default settings create a festodb folder on the local data carrier under C:\festodb. • This local folder (C:\festodb) must be copied to a network drive, e.g. to Q:\FESTO\…. • In addition, a network drive and a directory need to be determined and created to which all users have read and write access (e.g. a folder with the name Q:\FESTO\All or \\SERVER4711\FESTO\All). Caution: This drive must be mapped in the same way for all users! The BDE creates a control file (PDOXUSRS.net) in this directory in order to provide all users with simultaneous file access to the purchase order database. The rights to the PDOXUSRS.net file must be set to full access. • The next step is to add the entry “NETFILEDIR=…” to the “festo.ini” file (in the Windows directory on the client PC) within the [DKI] section (e.g. NETFILEDIR=Q:\FESTO\All or NETFILEDIR=\\S
