Hi Sonia I hope you are talking about Business Integration. This aspect is present in every industry not only in the cargo industry. Vertical Integration which includes forward integration and backward integration is more prominent in manufacturing companies or companies which own products. In this case for an air cargo company to do backward integration is make their own cargo aircraft which i believe is a tough call for any air cargo carrier. But the more prominent one is the Horizontal Integration wherein they can do a Merger / Accquisition with another cargo carrier.
