How can abortions save the lives of the mother? What about C-sections?
Very often times, an abortion will save the life of the mother in the case of an ectopic pregnancy, not just tubal. Ectopic is when the placenta connects to any tissue other than the uterus. This can be a fallopian tube, the cervix, other organs such as the stomach or intestine, etc. Sometimes, cancer patients find out when treatment is dire and cannot wait. Some women simply can’t handle a pregnancy and would need serious medical care or could even die if she tried to carry the baby. (Personally have a friend who has elevated levels of testosterone who almost died carrying her only child) Ultimately, I get what you’re driving at with the right wing view of how there should be no abortions. Don’t think I’m criticizing you, because as liberal as I am, I agree that the number of abortions should be decreased and should only be used if it is endangering the mother to carry on a pregnancy.
