Place the tape in a tape drive, and wait for the drive to become ready. (Cartridge is the same as tape in this context.) Then issue the REVIEW command. This method exploits AVR (Automatic Volume Recognition). If the TSO user id has the TSO MOUNT privilege then the REVIEW command can be issued first and the system will issue a mount message to the system console.
