HOW CAN A SUPPLIER JOIN UMSA?
We are always willing to talk and to listen. In the vast majority of cases, we have no more than two suppliers of a given product. Because we believe in and cultivate long-term relationships, we seldom replace established suppliers. However, if a new supplier can make a strong case for the superiority of his product or program, we will be objective. Practically speaking, we are more likely to consider a program in an area in which we do not offer an alternative, or have only a single supplier. But there are exceptions, particularly where the products of a new supplier are only in conflict with a portion of the products offered by an existing UMSA supplier.
