How can a set-up or wax-up be sent long distance on a hot summer’s day?
A harder type of wax should be used in summer to prevent distortion of the full wax-up or set-up. The use of a plastic base in the full wax-up or set-up will add additional stability. The set-up or wax-up is only for estimating the space required. The accuracy of the construction does not depend on the full wax-up or set-up. Slight distortion of the wax is normal and can be neglected. The “outline” of the full wax-up or set-up is scanned simply to define and assess the optimum design of the structure.
