How can a risk assesment be varied acording to age?

You have to look at it along the lines of the 5 senses. Babies are more prone to risk taking, and therefore have to be watched very carefully. By 2 years old, the children still take risks but think more about what they are doing, so the risk assessment is slightly varied. Check all the toys and make sure there isn’t anything sharp. Check the outdoor areas etc. At 3 they start to understand which things are safe to touch and which aren’t, so again, the risk assessment is varied. When they start school, there is even less things to worry about, so the risk assessment can be modified again.
