How can a player join a Travel League team?
The competitive nature of the Travel League means that entry to the Travel League is via open tryouts before the start of each playing year. The playing year runs from September to June for age groups U10 to U14 and March to June for U15 to U19. In other words, the U10 and U14 age groups play both a fall and a spring season. The older age groups play only in the spring due to high school soccer conflicts in the fall. Tryouts are announced early in the spring season. Players must register for tryouts via the Dynamo web site. Tryouts for teams in age groups U10 to U14 are normally held in the preceding May and June. Tryouts are conducted by experienced youth soccer coaches and involve small-sided games/full field games, skills demonstration and physical fitness. Depending on the number of players that tryout in an age group, Dynamo may construct more than one team in that age group. The requirement to try out applies to players already on travel teams, as well as to new players.
