How can a person overcome emotional dependency?
I think a person has to explore their past in order to understand where the dependency is stemming from. It’s like trying to find the key that will unlock the chains that keep them in such an emotionally dependent state. Some people, instead of being emo dep on other people, turn to food. With anything we do in life, our misbehavior is a product of what is “broken” in our lives. We need to find the source and deal with that…the emo dep is just a symptom. In order to find the “cure” one has to find the cause of the symptoms.
