How can a patient defeat the Fall Prevention Solution system?
In addition to intentional deactivation by the patient, there are two scenarios that will defeat Fall Prevention Solution: • By sliding out of a wheelchair or shower chair; or • Rolling out of a bed without ever attempting to stand. Fortunately these events are associated with fewer injuries than falls from a standing position, especially in facilities with low height beds in use.
