Ask to see your child’s Weekly Geo after he/she is finished working on it. If it’s incomplete and/or has errors, ask that it be redone. When a test (they’re rare) is coming up, help your child study. On nights when there is no assigned homework (there are many), ask that your child spend 15 minutes or so reviewing/working on whatever it is he or she is learning/doing in class.
