HOW CAN A CURRENT MONROE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENT WITH A DISABILITY ACCESS SERVICES?
The first step in obtaining services as a student with a disability at the College is to make an appointment with a counselor in the Learning Assistance Lab (LAL) (734)384-4167. The LAL is the office at Monroe County Community College that provides Services for Students with Disabilities. All services are provided by counselors specially trained to assist persons with disabilities in gaining access to classes, College programs, and campus activities. Any student with a disability is encouraged to discuss his or her disability with an instructor. However, a student should meet with one of the LAL Disability Services Counselors first. Students who need accommodations on tests or quizzes need to use the established Disability Services test request procedures.
