How can a client obtain contraception through WHP?
Contraception, except emergency contraception, may be provided through a Class D pharmacy at a Family Planning Clinic or a provider may write a prescription for the woman to take to a Medicaid Vendor Drug Program pharmacy. Once a woman is certified in the program, she receives a WHP Medicaid Identification form that she can present at a Medicaid Vendor Drug Program pharmacy with a prescription or she may continue to receive contraception through a provider Class D pharmacy.
