How can a band or label submit “music videos” to be played on Pandora?
This is a new, special project for us. Most artists only have music on Pandora, and you do not need to create a video in order to submit your music to the Music Genome Project. The new, soon-to-be-unveiled, music submissions process is entirely separate. Finally, please bear in mind that we are not asking for suggestions of videos to add; we are just looking for the people who created, or own the rights to, the video content in question. We cannot add or embed videos that are streaming on other sites. For us to air a video, we need to download the original video content directly from the content owners. We are looking for musician- and label-produced music videos, the kind that usually run on television — or, rather, USED to run on television. Pandora follows basic network-TV standards, so explicit content is discouraged. We accept submissions in H.264, MPEG-4, Quicktime, Flash video, and Windows Media formats.
