How can a 12 year old girl raise money to buy her first horse?
Hopefully you have a parent over your shoulder as you are required to be 13 years old to be on these sites by law without parents. Right now horses are cheap. They are being given away. Some people are actually PAYING people to take their horses. The big problem right now is the cost of feeding them. The least expensive cost of owning a horse is caring for it. As a 12 year old are you ready to dish out $10,000 when you need colic surgery? The point is there are also unexpected and expensive costs to owning a horse. I know your pain, I’ve been riding for 10 years, found my dream horse, but decided that investing in a horse right now would be financially difficult and unfair to a horse (time-wise=college student). When you go off to college and spent 40+ hours a week in class and doing work how will you take care of the horse financially and have time to spend with it?
