How birth control pills going to affect cholesterol level in my body?

0

Our body has two types of cholesterol i.e high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) whereas HDL is considered to be “good cholesterol” and LDL as “bad cholesterol” level. Birth control pills having estrogen and progestin hormones may affect the level of cholesterol. Both the hormones have opposite characteristics. The estrogen element can help to increase HDL, which could be slightly good for the body whereas progestin could lower the LDL cholesterol level.
